The Lynchburg Museum at the Old Court House is open five days a week:
Thursday 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
Friday 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
Saturday 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
Sunday 12:00 noon–4:00 p.m.
Monday 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
Tuesday Closed
Wednesday Closed
The museum is also open by appointment at other times for special events, meetings, or research. Please call (434) 455-6226 or email museum@lynchburgva.gov for more information. The museum is CLOSED on New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas.
Admission
Admission to the Lynchburg Museum is always FREE for all visitors.
Groups
Groups of 10 or more are welcome to tour the Lynchburg Museum at the Old Court House. Please arrange your tour with museum staff in advance by calling 434-455-6226 or emailing museum@lynchburgva.gov.
Accessibility
The Lynchburg Museum at the Old Court House is ADA accessible through the street-level entrance at the back of the building on Ninth Street. To use this entrance, please call 434-455-6226 or push the Ring button beside the door. An interior elevator is available for visitors to reach any of the museum’s three floors.
