Join the Lynchburg Museum on Sunday, May 4 for “Midwives and May Day: A Celebration of Birth and Rebirth.” This event is a closing event for our “Women with Women: The History of Midwifery in Lynchburg and Central Virginia” exhibit that will be on display until June 3, 2025.

Midwives and May Day will feature activities for the whole family including:
-Interact with tools used by real midwives
-Learn about midwifery in Central Virginia
-Free abbreviated house tours
-Crafts
-Picnic on the lawn

You will also have the opportunity to hear from local midwives on topics including:
-Babies at Point of Honor
-Healing with Herbs
-A Day in the Life of a Midwife
-The Legislative Journey of Midwives
