Lynch’s Ferry magazine is Central Virginia’s oldest and most respected journal of local history. It was started by Dr. Peter Houck in 1988 and, over the past 40 years, has earned a strong reputation for original scholarship that documents and preserves important stories from local history.

Today the magazine is published jointly by the Lynchburg Museum Foundation and Lynchburg Historical Foundation.
